Looks like Montreal will come in at about 1.66 murders / 100k population for 2024, about half the rate of NYC or Toronto and 1/20 the rate of a bunch of US cities. I do love the combination of living in a big vibrant city that's also very safe.

Okay, so, just to give you an idea of the significance of Bluesky's traffic. Here's the last month. In general I'd get maybe 50-100 concurrent viewers on a story - 450 if I hit hacker news. Yesterday I had 200-280 for hours. To have this kind of ongoing traffic is insane
