One of my favourite magic bits was seeing my opponent fetch a counterspell, then on my turn go "just so you know, you cant" and play some green large creature where the first line is "can't be countered" and them going "i cast counterspell" and me going "what did I *just* tell you"

been thinking about the doom II regular bestiary recently, and... what an effective set of enemies. with the exception of spectre, maybe, every enemy has a distinct reason to be in the game and without too much overlap in what they're used for?
