I’m all for therapy and I really want it to work, but my experiences have largely gone something like this: Me: “XYZ makes me sad.” Therapist: “Well, when XYZ makes you sad, have you tried not thinking about it?” Cool. When I get sad, just don’t be sad anymore. Depression cured.
