Dr. Slump is very good, Dragon Ball (at least up through the Baba arc, which is as far as I’ve gotten) feels like an extension of Dr. Slump’s sensibilities. Also I know you’re reading in Japanese, but the translation was partially done by Alexander O. Smith of Final Fantasy 8-12 fame
