Yeah, I dunno, when people say not having access to gender affirming care isn't a death sentence it sounds like they think trans people are manipulative whiners who threaten suicide over a nice thing they wish they had to try & get it. But I was suicidal all my youth *not knowing what trans was.*

My more optimistic take on the whole “did the protests do anything” debate is that here is value to showing you are not alone and that a massive number of people are willing to come out and be public even in very far right areas. Organization takes time and a diversity of tactics is a positive.
