In the 80s, every game of hide and seek at a friend’s house risked ending with finding this under their parent’s bed and a lot of questions you weren’t ready to ask. 😅

Ah yes, the typical IT client Friday phone call: “Hi Scott, my printer stopped working yesterday morning, but I need to print out documents now for a meeting in 15 minutes, so can you help me?”

Looking for editing or proofreading help with your ttrpg or boardgame project this summer? I've worked for large and small publishers, with a reputation for high accuracy and helpful feedback. (Happy to talk about writing or development too.) silverbranch.co.uk/ttrpg-editing/

Why hasn’t there been another edition to the God’s Teeth series called God’s Country? It fits perfectly in many ways.

Make a new TTRPG by changing just one letter... Allen: The RPG In space, everyone can hear Allen complain. Dine: Adventures in the Imperium Next up, Top Chef: Arrakis! The Mall of Delta Green The arcade only has one game. Polybius. Gramma World Knit sweaters out of love and radiation suits.

Movie you've watched more than six times using GIFs (hard mode: no Star Wars, Star Trek or LOTR Somewhat of a loophole. 😉

Now it’s a game. 😉

Last session of Dolmenwood wrapped with our weary adventurers limping back from the tomb of Sir Chyde, battered, victorious, and a little richer, only to be met by the Lankshorn Breggle constabulary, who insist on collecting Lord Malbleat’s new 10% “treasure tax.” Will it be defiance or consent?

I’ve been so busy today I forgot I’m running another session of Dolmenwood tonight. The good news is we had to reschedule the last session so I am metaprepared. 😅

Couldn’t sleep, so I queued up The Unforgettable Fire with the lyrics, only to learn I’ve been mishearing and mangling half the album since the ’80s. And TBH? I feel my lyrical interpretations are better. 😅

The schedule for this week on the Dungeon Musings YouTube channel is (all CST): Wed: D&D 5th Edition: Night Below 8 to 10 pm Fri: The Dark Eye RPG: Revelations from Heaven. 8 to Midnight Sat: Fantasy Craft: Tales from Thule. 9 to Noon Sun: Traveller 2e: The Pirates of Drinax. Noon to 3 pm

For me it’s the misconception of railroading, that if you aren’t allowed to do anything at any time, the game somehow failed. Every game has tracks. It’s just a matter of hiding them well and building a ride players want to stay on. Sure, let them derail, but stop pretending the tracks aren’t there.

Great playtest session today of the Book of Z's Zany West setting... and I think development is... done! Next I'll be finishing off my zombie apocalypse setting Zombie Roads. Check out this great piece by @gnarlyghost.bsky.social, my crew is in trouble! #ttrpg www.kickstarter.com/projects/bur...

GREY KNIGHT SPOILERS: As one knight falls to the shining might of the ancient sword Marmiodoise, another cuts her way through King Ryons with reckless force, felling the gigantic man with a single blow. Will his capture turn the Battle of Terrabil towards Arthur’s favor? We shall see next session.⚔️

After reading through both of these in preparation for my coming game, I don’t think I have ever wanted a GM Screen or a general rules reference compressing everything down more than with Pendragon. @chaosium.bsky.social is there a estimate when we might be getting something like this?

I feel you, Macready, we all feel you.

Fuck. 🤦🏼

As it's #selfpromosaturday and Free RPG Day *and* the solstice - the free introduction to my Albion #ttrpg gives you the basics of setting and rules to check it out. (There's a bunch of free system tinkering products in the Silver Branch store too.) www.drivethrurpg.com/en/publisher...

Worst Keeper ever. 😜

Just finished this. Zero pretension with effortless punk rock energy. A toolkit of pure weirdness and built to tinker. Every corner filled with joyous oddities and wild inspiration. It wants you to get uncanny and have as much fun as possible doing it. Enough said, get this book. 🤘🏻😊

Just learned they still make Thomas Guides, which confirms my theory that Rand McNally has quietly continued publishing in preparation for the Great Technology Collapse. Laugh now, but when your phone GPS dies and you’re trapped in Van Nuys, I’ll be triangulating my escape like it’s 1997. 😎
