Steam Next Fest is honestly my favorite time of the year. Brings back memories of spinning up a disc from your favorite videogame magazine back in the day to see all the newest demos. Have like 8 different demos queued up to check out over the weekend :chefkiss:

The GDC State of the Industry report is out. Seeing 80% of devs targeting PC was surprising and encouraging. Wonder how much Steam Deck made an impact there 🤔 Also 35% of devs doing AR/VR is a surprisingly high number. Was expecting less. The full report is here: reg.gdconf.com/state-of-gam...

Thanks to David's amazing work here: github.com/frostbone25/... - I added contact hardening to the box projected reflections. This makes the reflection sharper near the "surface", which can result in a more accurate reflection on rough surfaces. Works best with spec occlusion #shaders #unity3d

Decided to spend some time adding Cloth and Clear Coat rendering options to my shaders. Based on the Google Filament approach. Implementing this for every single source of specular lighting we have in Unity was a royal pain, but definitely worth it 😍 #unity3d #shaders

Pretty incredible to see @noclipvideo.bsky.social finally get to do an official Half-Life doc. I remember being incredibly hyped for the fan doc all those years ago, then seeing the Arkane doc with new footage, the Black Mesa doc that felt like it was this close, and now a full on HL2 Project 🥹
