Oh my good gods, J.D. Vance is JD because of JD in Heathers, isn't he? It thinks it's cool and snarky.

That moment when your TABLE OF CONTENTS with no chapter titles comes up as possible AI-generated text. 🧐👀 #Editor #editing #writing #booksky

Most people think that people who don't like detailed sexual scenes in books are prudes. I prefer the stage go dark because you all have boring sex. I'm not a prude, ya'll are just boring.

I think I hate romance novels and the rest because I've had a job writing the stuff between the sex scenes and I was married to the love of my life for 30 years and sex is so much better with people who know your soul. There's nothing wrong with the other kind of sex, it just is boring eventually.

I really wish I didn't hate romance stories, romantasy, historical romance, etc. You're reading the comments of a lady who checks her phone during sex scenes in movies, sorry. I just can't get into them because you people seem to think sex makes your mind turn off after your one clever line.

I SHOULD ADD THIS: The did you use ai button doesn't even say did you use GENERATIVE AI. it asks, iirc, if you used ai (in any form) while generating the content— So, if I used Alexa (for example) to play background music while typing, that would technically be using AI while generating content.

Anyway, if you are writing in the 21st century, you probably used generative ai whether on purpose or not.

Anyways, I feel very defensive that you all are noticing ai fails not successes

Is it weird because I'm a writer who codes I'm defensive about the Amazon "I did/did not use AI to generate anything" button on Kindle books? ALMOST EVERY CURRENT EDITING SUITE uses integrated AI. Use a suggested word? Technically generative AI. I've probably autocompleted a lot of sentences.

Trump thinks a Bastille Day military parade is the same as a Soviet one. The Soviet Military Parade shows the strength of a government. On Bastille Day, the French Military Parade shows the government the weapons the French people WILL USE ON THEM if driven to it.

yes, that was me ham-handedly complimenting a similar comment as if it was the same. It's asynchronous, so I get feedback when I look at it. Technically, they were all yesterday.

True gothic horror, not horror with goths in it, BTW, is less fun on reread because the (everything) you do along the way really is the story. In a true gothic horror, you know within a few degrees who is going to make it to the end. The horror in gothic horror is based on Dramatic Irony...

I got another really positive feedback today. The author said she liked that I played with the hows of prose, and asked if I'd actually written the Fable books in Free Verse (Yes, but you're not supposed to be able to tell)

Here's a post that ISN'T ABOUT THE BUMP YESTERDAY that shows what insider bumps look like. I tried to use a page you all know I am not with, they are so easy to see that people who do day trading look for them. You get like little flat bump, then a multipeak rise. seekingalpha.com/article/4358...

The pre-climb bump in the stock market was insider trading, btw. There will often be a mini-bump before a rise, as people who have insight and info but not insider information realize a trend before others. it will be like a mini slope halfway up (or down) a mountain. The bump quite a bit before? no
