I feel that, for as much time as I’ve already put into scouring the Ruins of Wyveria, there are still secrets I haven’t come across or even seen, and that excites me. Definitely a bizarre and amazing locale. I do wish it had more endemics, or at least oddly rare ones.

Seeing all the abilities that my Palico, Neru, has makes me yearn for Prowler Mode to return. It was such a fun hunting style. I’d love to fly around in that tiny blimp and shoot off Wyvern Fires, or steal material with the Plunderblade.

I greatly enjoy the interactions your character has with NPCs. Getting to know more about them & seeing your relations change from your exchanges is something I would love to see even more of. So many interesting & fascinating tidbits of knowledge can be gleaned from conversating with them.

The Hunter’s Palico pawrtner in this title is wonderfully expressive and silly. I find their voice lines, even the puns, to be quite charming and fun. My Neru deserves the world, and nothing less. Best Palico, paws down.

There’s so much to revel in with regard to this story & its connection & parallels to MH4. I was surprised to see the Frenzy return, and I only hope it is expanded upon a bit more meaningfully. I love & miss the old mechanic of a monster appearing unfrenzied only to show it after fainting in hunt.

It feels pretty good throwing up SOS flares for randoms when you got a free crown to give. I try to make it a habbit to do so whenever I see one, and I inform those joining of it. Their excitement is palpable, and I live for it.

So… I know this is probably just hard copium, but Gammoth could potentially return as a subspecies/variant that is adapted to different climates. The Windward Plains would be a good terrain for it.

Been having trouble finding what the last few endemics could be and finally admitted defeat. However, I’m glad to see that they were pretty specific and difficult to come by, even on accident. Pretty proud for only missing 3 of them. One of which is a returning favorite of mine.

Been competing in the Doshaguma challenge quest with one of my guildmates to get in the top 10,000 rankings. It’s been quite the experience, seeing how the times have been narrowing since it became available. There’s 11 days left, and the tension is REAL, but exciting.

Truly a roller coaster of a session, & all of the pain was self-inflicted. It’s funny looking back on this. Gravid Bowfins come so easily now, & the Iceshard Cliffs don’t feel as dangerous (even though they definitely are). However, Rove and his perilous existence seems to be a true constant…
