Finished up Daybreak and started Daybreak II tonight - the improvements here are pretty damn substantial. Field battles have a lot more depth. Command battles have more mechanics to keep in mind. More QoL all around. No S-craft spam. I still find it a bit too easy, even starting on nightmare though

I'm not a fan of Marvel Rivals, but it's heartbreaking for a game to be that successful, and still have a large chunk of people shown the door after release. This isn't sustainable at all. For a big part of my life, my dream job was in game dev. Now it'd be more like a nightmare job.

Playing the demo for Pirate Yakuza, and I've really started to develop an even greater connection to these games, especially being set in Hawaii. All the places I'd seen during my honeymoon are recreated in so much detail. I'm glad this map was used for a second game. Yakuza really is special.

32:9 ultrawide is incredible until you pack it up and realize just how damn wide it ACTUALLY is. Good lord this thing barely fits in the SUV.

AAARRRGH! The amount of times Daybreak dangles a carrot in front of me with someone's backstory, only to yank it away every time is CRIMINAL. Looks like I'm gonna have to finish it to learn anything else I wanna know. And 2 is STILL sitting in Texas for some reason.

Despite being busy prepping for the big move, I've made a ton of progress in Daybreak. Will be ready to start 2 when it comes in, hopefully! They keep teasing so many big backstory drops on chapter 5. I'm ready for hours of exposition, dang it!
