Okay, if this sciatic nerve pain doesn't stop happening. I am going to be one very miserable person. I can't keep having 2-3 hour periods where I am in so much pain I can barely think straight.

From sea to shining sea Whitewashed upon the beach My country under siege On private property We are not home Are we not home? Kiss me, I'm dead inside Who needs suicide when The American Dream is killing me

So, I found out those spasms aren't normal muscle spasms. The team here is almost certain that it is inflammation of the sciatic nerve. One of my fractures is at the sacrum, right where the nerve runs. So that's fun.

First full day in the rehab facility. 1. The bed sucks. 2. Staff is nice. 3. 1.5 hours of PT a day. (This is going to suck) 4. 1.5 hours of OT a day. (Today was 30 min intake) 5. Had another one of those massive muscle spasms today. 6. Need urgent delivery of real food.

Update: Being transported from the hospital to an in-patient rehab clinic. Had a muscle spasm so bad earlier today that it took 1 hour and muscle relaxers to calm it down. But progress.

Update 3: With the chest tube removed, you can see most of the bruising. There is only one small incision to pin the pelvis back together. A view of me walking 80ft. Pretty good, I think just 5 days after the accident and 4 after surgery. Lastly, two edible arrangements.

Update 2: The chest tube was removed this morning. I'm still waiting on PT to come by. Sure, their goal will be to actually take a few steps, maybe walk to the bathroom.

Update: at least one more day on chest tube. But, I am able to sit myself up now and hopefully stand without assistance today. Breathing is a little easier today, and the amount of oxygen provided has been reduced.

Held off a couple of days before posting. On Saturday, I was in a severe single car accident. My Wife's Yukon vs. Trees. The trees won. I was the only occupant of the vehicle. Thank you to the first responders who got me out and to my wife and all her strength in this time.

Last night, we woke up to a burning smell and couldn't find the cause. Today, the heater wouldn't work. Went out side to find this. Now, I can't get anyone out here until tomorrow at 1330 at the earliest.

Best reason to live in Louisiana.

New problem. One room with 0 working power receptacles. Wiring is correct but no power to the hot leads. Lights on dimmable rocker plus there are two additional hot switches with no apparent attached items. The wiring in this house makes 0 sense.

Came out this morning to see this. They might fight, but the brothers still love to cuddle each other.

New Front Door installed

Cooking first meal in the new house.

Coconut Rice, eggs, and hickory SPAM for dinner.

Should be moving in next week finally. Can't wait to try the cool Christmas present the family gave me. Promised we would wait to use it until we were in the forever home.

Yesterday, Twin 1 chose Chick-fil-A for her post meet lunch. Today, twin 2 chose Hokkaido Ramen House.

First Gymnastics meet in the books. Girls had some nerves but did well for the first one.

While I miss Alaska and real winter I should not be seeing this in southeast Texas or Central Lousiana.

We are having to bring in a new flooring guy to give us estimates on fixing the floors in the house. Almost three months and the top coat is fish eyed and came out hazy.

I am out of touch just realized Green Day released a new Album last year. So now kids are being forced to listen to it with me.

Since I have the day off, may as well try Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League since it is one of the free games this month.

Making instant pot chicken noodles soup for dinner. Cold days are perfect for soup.

And reason #1 I hate taking leave. I always lose my cover on the first day back.

Spam and Eggs for dinner. It was choose your own dinner night here and this was my choice. Easy and filling.

Y'all, I have failed as a father. My children hate Chili.

So the wife wasn't able to get a cinnamon roll while we were in Houston (kids, time, and tomorrow foolery are to blam), so I am made a batch to surprise her with when she wakes up. Might be can, but I always doctor them by baking them drowned in heavy cream. #cinnamonroll
