Some of you have asked for an alternative to singing 'Happy Birthday' when washing your hands. Canadian icon (and national treasure) Bryan Adams has you covered. The chorus to 'Heaven' is 24 seconds long. You're welcome. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwDf-NMnUPA

Oh, look...more snow. Sure. Makes sense. Totally fine. Great times. Take it easy & pace yourself if you're shovelling today. Push the snow instead of throwing it & lift small amounts at a time. If you experience chest pain while or after shoveling, stop and call 911 immediately.

Today is a perfect reminder to take a moment to reach out to those around us, whether it's a friend, family member, or neighbour. A few kind words can make all the difference. After you read this, text or call someone. Let them know you're thinking of them. (1/2)

Well Ottawa, it's snowing. A lot. If you're out and about today, please stay safe. Road & sidewalk conditions will certainly be affected by this storm. Be sure to check on family, friends & neighbours who may be isolated or vulnerable to the storm.

A resident of Copeland Park asked me to remind everyone that gas metres and especially gas exhaust vents must be kept clear of snow and ice to prevent carbon monoxide in your home. Today might be a good idea to clear them and check them again if we get heavy snow.

Today is my six-year anniversary of having a mild heart attack while shovelling - it was a morning just like this one! I think they said 15 people were brought in that morning. I know one of them didn't make it. Take it easy out there. fb.watch/xJz5PyPhXX/

It was a joy to hear this morning from Claudette Commanda. She is an Elder who just by being present in our city life brings calm and reassurance. “Hope is free.” Thanks for that, Claudette.

We’ve all been there. The sheer number of arguments we’ve won whilst alone in the shower is downright impressive. Especially around this time of year, it's easy to find yourself over-thinking and/or just feeling overwhelmed. It happens to all of us, and it’s ok to need some support. (1/2)
