Reading this 4 month old thread is uunerving. So much of the previously good advice is now much more questionable. "Called in for a 'citizenship interview' and instead, arrested by ICE" happened today. How can any immigrant follow the law with any assurance of safety and due process? They can't.

Not to mention most US passport holders don't walk around every day with their passports in their pockets, so you wouldn't even have it to show. This admin isn't shy about saying, "oops, but nothing we can do now!" with their whole chests.

If I had to reregister to vote, post SAVE Act, I'd need: a $25 copy of my birth certificate, a $5 copy of my name change, a $3 copy of my marriage license, and an $89 drivers license. OR a $165 passport. Not only is it a poll tax, it's also a pink tax.

Big Law firms knuckling under to Trump not only harm themselves, their clients, and the Rule of Law, it results in hard-setting beliefs like this. Tell Lee Gelernt--and all the other lawyers working to free immigrants shipped to internment prisons--they aren't in it to help people. Fuck that noise.

Yep. I saved hundreds or even thousands of dollars a month just from switching from Substack to self-hosted Ghost. I pay a roughly flat $85/month now (~$75 for mailsending, $10 for hosting), vs. 10% of all my subscription income.
