Don't forget that the first battle of the fascists and autocrats is to make sure you believe everything is bad and getting worse. It's not true. Our world is far from being a perfect place, but it's still better than 10, 20, 30, 50, 100 or 1000 years ago in MOST areas.

Has anyone built the "view bsky feed as" app/feed?

The Montreal insectarium is amazing!

💸 10 @ouvre-boite.com

Add anyone written a story about 📌? How it emerged and how is being treated differently in the bsky client?

If there was a way to tip folks on @bsky.app, what would you use for?

its the money, stupid... all the rest is smoke and mirrors

The US has *already* capitulated against Putin.

Is it worth saying that booing a national anthem is precisely freedom of speech?

The kids are hooked on Сигма Бой. Should I worry for: 1. Their musical taste 2. Their exposure to Russian propaganda 3. Their social life 4. All of the above

Conservatives have always been the useful idiots of the fascists.

this is super interesting. making the network accessible to status-quo browsers is a huge leap forward. web clients still aren't able to natively think in terms of "one resource, multiple access points", but that's a much different challenge w/ longer timescale.

It would be cool if I could use my ENS as my #atproto handle.

We need digital commons!

For anyone who doesn’t understand why tech companies are so against these backdoors, the reasons are quite simple: (a) any backdoor is a significant security risk, and (b) any backdoor makes them potentially liable (either legally or in the court of public opinion) for breaches.

The reason is like #Bluesky (and #atproto) is _not_ because it is more politically aligned with me, but because it is less likely to be captured by folks who I don't agree with.

Money is a tool whose purpose changes based on how much you have. If you have very little, it lets you buy survival. If you have a bit more it lets you buy happiness. If you have a lot more, it lets you buy power.

I get that courts and judges are a line of defense... But what happens if (when) they break?
