The only highlight about this whole thing are the memes. 🤌

"We have fought and died alongside you....During your darkest hours...we were always there. Standing with you, grieving with you, the American people.” I’ve had my differences with Justin Trudeau, for sure, but he rose to the occasion here.

Hey everyone…had a conversation with the @uoftpandemics.bsky.social SM manager about why they should get off twitter A plea: their bsky account is a shell right now, but if we could get them some followers here I bet we could get them to switch Please consider following 🙏🙏🙏

Since there's renewed discussion today re: how Republicans are defining sex, it seemed a good opportunity to repost this video I made for med students on the topic. The tl;dr: It's way more complicated than Republicans want to admit. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yM_...

I've been thinking about what to say to show my anger, disgust, and sadness for what has happened. In the end, this is best. Trans people are who they say they are. I will always be a safe nurse, I will always fight for their right to healthcare, to exist, to be who they are. 🏳️‍⚧️

I posted this VIROLOGY piece on Threads and was asked to post it here. It’s my first BlueSky post and its long: Let’s talk about virology, my area of research for 50 years. Specifically, let’s talk about H5N1, best known as bird flu. But first let's talk about receptors. 1/15

AI imagery is already prolific across the web. Always view images from new/unknown sources with healthy skepticism. Sometimes Chrome's reverse image search can be super handy and there are lots of amazing AI and tech researchers and analysis on BSKY to follow and learn from.

Feels right that my 1st post here should be to share this incredible RCT, led by my PhD supervisor Nick Daneman: www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.... Main takeaway: 7-days of abx should be the standard of care for patients with uncomplicated non-S. aureus BSI. A deep dive 🧵: #IDsky
