It's absolutely ok, but you're then catering to a specific audience and actively excluding others. Game devs need to be prepared for criticism there

This highlights the true power of NMS’ text-based, often vague story telling. You’re left with more questions than answers, leaving you to fill in the gaps with headcanon. You’re also given a new helmet!

You find terminals that tell the survivors’ story - they were stranded with no working starship, on a planet that was rapidly flooding. The crew were plagued by nightmares and drawn towards a mysterious cave. No bodies are found, no survivors, no true resolution.

The quest has you pilot the Nautilon around your planet’s underwater landscape, constructing a scanner to retrace the steps of a long-lost crew. All that remains of them are their submerged, ruined bases, guarded by abyssal horrors.

After finding a decent parking spot, I swam down to a wrecked starship, containing the blueprint for a new vehicle - the Nautilon.

I followed the signal to an aquatic planet - this provided my first challenge. I haven’t researched the aquatic landing upgrade for my starship, forcing me to find tiny islands to land.

After reaching the pioneer milestone (warping 40 times), my ship intercepted a signal - a transmission of voices drowned out by rushing water. Note that there is no voice acting in No Man’s Sky, so this information is only given as flavour text, leaving the sounds up to your imagination.

I only started Dreams of the Deep because I happened to be in the same system, scanning the fauna on a radioactive planet.

Picked up No Man's Sky, because I wanted to play a game where I could fly a space ship around. It's got a lot of depth and is great fun to get lost in

Halfway through Pokemon Sword and I dislike Hop so much. He's overconfident despite his main Pokemon being a literal sheep, then (spoilers) loses one fight to Bede and becomes depressed
