Local news sites seriously need to get better with their comments moderation, or just switch them off. You're not going to persuade someone to talk to you if they have already seen the kind of abuse they'll get on your own website.

Officers are appealing for witnesses following fatal road traffic collision in Manchester city centre today. A van collided with a three-year-old girl, who sadly died from her injuries. The driver fled the scene, officers are following several lines of enquiry to locate him. More - orlo.uk/8cwbH

We have a success. The new version of the Bolton Town Centre PSPO has been released on the council web site (www.bolton.gov.uk/downloads/fi...). The outright ban on cycling, scooting or skateboarding in the motor traffic free areas is gone. 1/3
