Starting over, making some art, maybe some progress. Overly blessed by the cat distribution system. She/her. I have a Cara! https://cara.app/packrat153

“Show, by your actions, that you choose peace over war, freedom over oppression, voice over silence, service over self-interest, respect over advantage, courage over fear, cooperation over competition, action over passivity, diversity over uniformity, and justice over all.” — Anthony J. Marsella

This was supposed to be hair practice but the face came out so good!

OMG, House of Hope is freaking EPIC!! This song is now going to be stuck in my head for twenty or thirty years. #BG3

Spot the cat. She likes to be invisible.

feeling dismayed by the recent executive order targeting history workers + museums? in DC? Fighting for Freedom opens TODAY at the DAR Museum. many brilliant minds and institutions spent years working to bring this show into the world — please visit!!

So I... Made another #BG3 character. Robyn is another half elf. But rogue/bard this time, so not the same as Fae! Lol Also, colored pencils for the win, covering a multiple of sins.

Did the lineart for a sketch I did ages ago and it came out SO GOOD! I think I found my new favorite brush. Also, second time I've posted an OC here. Roman, one of Geo's boyfriends (he/they, hermaphrodite - which is a spoiler but no one is going to read it anyway. Sci-fi, homebrew aliens).

Hey, look! A gith!

Super rare mini miracle of Ollie accepting affection. Princess Elora snuggled up while he was already napping.

Someone requests that I stop scrolling and bestow belly rubs. Yes, Coal Beans ADORES belly rubs.

Sooo.... It took me waaay too long to figure out that BG3 has a "camp clothes all the time" option and now it is a dress-up game. I need more dyes. And more outfits.

Sorting/organizing my files today, poking through unfinished WIPs, and this one jumped out at me. I was challenging myself to use only the colors from one palette, and it might not be "finished" but... Does it really need to be? (Also, first time posting an actual OC on Bluesky. This is Geo.)

As a professor of English, allow me to try, humbly and with the proper respect, to offer an appropriate response to the President’s address: Fuck you, you fucked-up fuck, and fuck all the fuckers who willingly fuck with you, especially. You can all fuck all the way off, and then fuck off some more.

Great synopsis by John Ganz.

Look before you sit!

Staying quiet at Gortash's coronation viscerally hurt. Surrounded by traps and Steel Watchers and civilians and Wyll's Dad right there, brainwashed. My mom is in a cult. I grew up in a cult. This game seriously needs to stop making me cry so much.

Unless Mizora produces Ravengard's cold, dead corpse, I'm not buying the "you can't save him without me" bit. Nah, we're saving him without selling Wyll's soul for eternity, thanks. #BG3

Sharing more townhall videos today because they’re giving me hope. THIS is good trouble! Who is this man? I want to shake his hand and buy him a drink.

When Mona Parsons, from Nova Scotia, was imprisoned for being a part of the Dutch Resistance during WWII in Holland, she was tasked with knitting socks for German soldiers. She knit knots in the soles to create blisters on their feet as an act of defiance. I think about that a lot. Knots.

The progress on inking the attempted character reference/angles sheet with sketch layer underneath. Why, why did I gear her up in the Graceful Cloth? Why?? Oh. Right. Gloomstalker ranger and +2 DEX. *crying quietly* #BG3 (You probably have to click for the whole picture; bonus you get alt text)

Nostalgia! This was the best when I was a kid.

I've been working on a sort of character sheet/reference for my Tav (Fae), thinking it would be good practice for aiming at consistency with different facial angles and line width, etc.... It was taking FOR. EVER. So here's a headshot in the camp clothes that I did in one night instead.

Ok, but someone on the Baldur's Gate 3 writing team is familiar with cults. Not stand-in-a-circle-to-summon-mass-destruction cults, but real cults. Also they know how authoritarian tactics work and how dehumanization is weaponized to oppress populations. A wee bit wishing more people had played it.

Chased a rabbit thought yesterday, did some searching, and figured out that my hand mirror was made somewhere between 1905 and 1915, right smack in the Edwardian/Titanic zone. I am pleased as freaking punch.

It can be really, really hard when it feels like nothing is making a difference.... And each six strand is split in half for stitching. It's a LOT of thread. A LOT of hours. A LOT of patient stabbing. It still adds up. One stitch at a time.

"Remember: it costs money to keep printing those stickers, but ripping them down is free." Positive destruction. Patient stubbornness. Small things add up over time.

Dude. Y'all. I broke out the sketchbook while watching a news report and.... I think this might have come out almost identifiable! (Or vaguely like Derek Jakobi instead. Eh.) Second sketch for contrast from back in July when I started this sketchbook. Subject is a content creator. (Rusty much?)

A while back, my sister started calling Duchess Purrcilla (small, long haired grey) Lady Shar, for her habits of blending in shadows, hiding in small, dark spaces, clawing you for attention, and popping up out of nowhere, and.... She might be starting to answer to it? Oops?

The elusive Oliver (You Have Failed This City) Queen seems to have forgiven me for trimming his nails. It's really hard to get him on camera when he's being his cutest.

Kitten crash! Play hard, nap harder.

The elusive Oliver (You Have Failed This City) Queen will save the day.... After his nap.

MY NEW BRUSH PENS HAVE ARRIVED AND THEY ARE AWESOME 😎 Also, bonus reading practice. (And my handwriting has not improved at all lol)
