The first arena in Final Sin, the last mission in Doom Eternal, is probably one of the best openings to a last stage in a game ever. You just go through scores of demons at the top of a ruined skyscraper at night while an amazing battle theme goes hard in the background. It’s so good.

One thing I’ve never agreed with is that so-called “identity politics” are a distraction. Racism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism…these are firmly held beliefs by the right. They push policies that will enshrine them not because they want to distract us, but because they hate us.
