This is an excellent perspective on how we are not necessarily blue and red states but a nation with very distinct regions, cultures, and histories. (Though personally, I see the Pacific Northwest [Cascadia] as a distinct and different region from coastal California.)

Pure ignorance on her part. Not for mistaking the faith of the individual leading the prayer, rather for having an issue that it wasn't someone of "her" faith. While it was reassuring some in her party spoke out against her actions, the larger issue is those who feel they are superior to another.

As far as I am concerned the voices for the Democrats are AOC and Bernie. They are out there on the ground in parts of the nation most Democrats won't visit speaking to average folks about issues that matter to them. They are getting huge crowds, so people are showing up. This is what we need.
