If you’re wondering why I declined to talk to the NYTimes, then you haven’t been following my account for very long. They bear a direct responsibility for the current situation we find ourselves in, and I responded by laying out my position and that I would only talk to @jamellebouie.net

So if you criticize Elon Musk, Trump’s DOJ will send you this letter. Members of Congress must have the right to forcefully oppose the Trump Administration. I will not be silenced.

Sell your Teslas, dump your stock, join the picket lines. Hurting Tesla is stopping Musk, and stopping Musk will help save lives and our democracy. The stakes couldn't be higher and no one is coming to fix this- not our politicians and not our media. It's up to collective effort.

You're going to hear a lot of shit from cons about how the dor doesn't pay for teachers and just uses its money for dei or some crap. It's bullshit, we're talking about thousands of teachers and aides gone overnight in every state.

Trump just fired the National Archives Director Colleen Shogan “This evening, President Trump fired me. No cause or reason was cited." 🔗 www.404media.co/trump-fires-...

I just lost my job, along with most of my coworkers, due to the illegal grant freeze. I worked at an organization that -helped veterans who have lost a limb -Assisted elderly and disabled people -Helped hospitals better treat people who have lost limbs

My Democratic colleagues just tried to subpoena unelected billionaire Elon Musk, but House Republicans blocked it. We must hold Elon Musk accountable, especially since my Republican colleagues are complicit in these assaults on our government.

The U.S. Department of Labor is organizing a protest. Elon Musk’s staff will be present at the Frances Perkins Building in Washington, D.C., today at 4 p.m. It was mentioned that staff should plan to stay late after the 4 p.m. meeting to assist with setting up Elon Musk staffers into their systems.

I just spoke with an attorney who works with the NOAA, and there is a valid path to shut down what's happening. The agencies are compromised, the IGs are fired, etc. We need a state AG (she said NY would be best) to file a lawsuit seeking an injunction using state and federal cybersecurity laws.

You bout to get all this DEI Happy Black History Month... Black history is America history

No one's blaming Democrats for causing this crisis, but yes, many of them are failing to meet this moment. One Democratic senator could bring the chamber to a halt. House Dems can go to fed agencies being gutted by Musk with cameras in tow. Governors can push back. State AGs can bring lawsuits.

Advice for Democratic lawmakers: Don't ever again put out a press release stating that you're "meeting tomorrow" in response to a five-alarm fire. Cross that out. Write this: "We are urgently working to address this crisis." And then make that statement true with immediate action.

Unilaterally shutting down USAID via Executive Order and merging it with State is openly illegal and Dems should immediately converge on D.C. and call for protests if Trump tries to do it.

Democratic lawmakers need to understand something: Imagine your house is on fire. Fire truck shows up. Firefighters get out. They look at the fire, then at you, and say: "Such a fire is a grave threat. This house will not sustain." And just stand there. This is how many of you are coming across.

Canadian MP Charlie Angus: Our beloved Canada is under threat. The threat comes from the president of the US—a convicted felon and known predator. But the threat is also being driven by the hate algorithms of oligarchs like Elon Musk….

State AGs, DAs... anyone who can order the police to stop this. Non-government employees such as those who work for Elon have no right to other citizen's data. They're copying everything to private discs now, or worse - transmitting it over Starlink and creating opportunities for foreign hacking.

A constitutional crisis requires friction to make it legible. That often comes from conflict between the branches of government, but a Republican-controlled Congress and SCOTUS are not interested in challenging Trump’s lawlessness. That why it’s *especially* important for Democrats to act.

NEW: The DOJ’s removal of a database detailing criminal charges and convictions related to January 6th from its website appears to be illegal. We sent a letter urging the National Archives and DOJ inspector general to investigate and take action.

Exactly one week ago.

This is my representative, and I approve this message.

Remember those goons from grade school? The ignorant bullies, all fists and insults, who never paid attention or passed a test but somehow managed to get advanced because they were on the football team or their dad was rich? Congratulations, America, you put those meatheads in charge.

Let's be clear: the Medicaid portal went offline because of Donald Trump's orders. The only reason it is back on is due to outrage from the American people. Now, they are trying to lie about it. Medicaid was never taken away from Americans under President Biden.

The people now in charge of the Office of Personnel Management apparently don’t know how to scrub PDF metadata, and have exposed the original authors of the guidance they’re publishing. Two, Noah Peters and James Sherk, have links to the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025.

On today’s episode of “if Obama” If Obama fired over a dozen inspectors general in the middle of the night, the media would have (appropriately) excoriated him over the illegality and absolutely tanked his approval ratings Trump does it, and CNN calls it a “shakeup” Shameful.

that's right

Let’s be very clear here. North Carolina Republicans are trying to: *steal *cheat *disenfranchise *lie their way to a state Supreme Court seat they lost at the ballot box. Stay focused on this; oppose their shameful actions and protect democracy. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

This is /what/ Democratic members need to be doing, but /will/ they? I have little faith they will. The older guard of the party seem stuck in the mentality that everything is as it was in the 90s; completely out of touch with the reality of the current situation.

SHARE WIDELY. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights. You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one. (1/3)
