The Cartoonists Club by Raina Telgemeier & Scott McCloud pagesunbound.wordpress.com/2025/04/29/t...

Reading review on Goodreads and I found one like, "I wanted a book with a different kind of magic system. Three stars." Sometimes I get why authors complain about negative reviews.

The Bizarre Bazaar: Mirror Town (A Graphic Novel) by Daniel Nayeri with Liz Enright (Illustrator): ARC Review pagesunbound.wordpress.com/2025/04/28/t...

The huge surge in spicy romantasy, even in books labeled YA, means I am now afraid to buy anyone a book for a gift that I have not personally read. Like, oh yeah, just sending you a book of 25 explicit sex scenes. 😳 Not everyone I know would want me to do that...

After about three months of consistent posting (I started with three pins a day but kind of gave up and often do one a day), traffic from Pinterest to the blog DOES seem to be up, but we're talking maybe 40 views/day instead of 25 views/day, so not exactly a big deal.

Any ways to block voicemails from a blocked number? As far as I can tell, it's not a thing you can do?

My public library is now posting AI generated images on social media calling it a "useful tool" and suggesting patrons try it out as well. Someone else commented calling them, so I did too. I doubt they will reply.

Picked this one up last month and enjoyed it more than I thought I would! Highly recommended if you're a fan of either author. Check out Krysta's review for details. #Tolkien

Excited for this ARC! It doesn't read like a romantasy to me, however. More of a reflective book with an aging sorceress wondering if she can be forgiven for the ways she has used her powers.

Today's Review: Thrush Green by Miss Read "In troubled times, cozy reads like this seem more necessary than ever. In some respects, nothing happens. Yet the book also suggests that each life is valuable and full of meaning. " pagesunbound.wordpress.com/2025/04/09/t...

On the topic of "kids hating classics," a first grader recently told me they enjoyed The Trumpet of the Swan.

Kind of baffled by the comment someone left the other day that told me the problem with most book blogs is that they are terrible. Okay? 😅
