Just watched season 1 of The White Lotus. Honestly, I don't see the appeal of this show. None of the characters are likeable. The staff and guests all turn out to be selfish, awful people in the end. It's a show about nothing. Go watch Fawlty Towers instead!

Finally plucked up the courage to watch the Barbie movie. Extremely well-made glossy junk. The film seemed to think it was delivering a message on female empowerment, but it was an OTT simplistic Hollywood notion of feminism. IRL... half the board of directors at Mattel are actually female.

Great episode of The Apprentice this week. Virtual pop stars. "Release music, hold online concerts and work with brands just like the real pop stars. A market worth £400 million by 2030." Milli Vanilli were too ahead of their time. There would be no controversy today. Consumers want fakery.
