“.. judging only from price action, we are suddenly witnessing a comprehensive turn away from US assets (stocks, USTs, corporate credit and the dollar). this is the single most important theme to monitor over coming weeks. .. for the moment capital is flowing out of the US.” - GS Desk/Pasquariello

happy ten year anniversary to this post

There’s a special place in HELL for anyone who stands before the Supreme Court and argues that a man they wrongfully sent to an El Salvadorian death camp should stay there.

I hate to say this, and it gives me the chills just to think it, but CECOT is on (and not a short way down) the road to Auschwitz.

Cheering on a country to play the art of war chess with China, and getting the worlds biggest moron to sit at the table, is going to go how we all expect it to.

naming ceremony today in NY where my beloved teacher and friend Thich Nhat Hanh once lived Thay would smile that the name is not a street, not a boulevard, not an avenue “There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.”

How can SCOTUS give such a ruling that leaves such a clear backdoor for the administration to just ignore the court order? Oh yeah, unfettered exec power. I know, I know. Call my reps. At least Cornyn is laying into Paxton. Maybe I can get him to do something if I use my best accent.

So, are there some good books on the treasury market? Um, asking for a friend. :)

The government won’t even flat out admit what they clearly know: Garcia was last known to be imprisoned in El Salvador, the country where they erroneously sent him. All they’ll say is that they haven’t “submitted evidence to contradict that.” C’mon.

One country has living citizens who survived starvation. They are about as hard as they come. And a leader who can ignore them. The other hasn't faced real hardship in over 80 years. And leaders who will stop ignoring us the louder we get. The trade war can help us get rid of this administration.

So much FOMO waiting for the next crumb of words from fearless leader.

HAPPENING NOW: Following the Supreme Court's decision requiring the government to "facilitate" the release of Abrego Garcia, a hearing before Judge Paula Xinis is about to begin. I'm in Greenbelt, Maryland for @lawfare.bsky.social Follow along for updates

Trump’s new tariffs don’t make economic sense — and that’s the point. These tariffs are designed to cause widespread pain so that Trump can use the power of relief as a form of extortion: indivisible.org/tariffs

An episode and quote that always stuck with me. I cannot describe how important TNG was for me as a kid. Especially after losing my father.
