The thing about Steam curators is that although they seem abandoned by Valve, they can still give a lot of visibility to tiny games. A few months ago I took over the RPG Codex's curator page (55k followers) and began adding cool indie RPGs there, it gave a lot of traffic to very niche games.

Huh, I should probably add Starcraft 2 to my free games list. The 'demo' is the entire first retail game (they originally released it as three full games), multiplayer, full mod support (which means MANY more campaigns) and partial access to the co-op Commanders mode. That's a whole lot for free.

Yup, it just feels out of place. In a way F2 is closer to the first Wasteland, that also had some strange shit thrown in. F1 is very coherent. The silly stuff is mostly relegated to special encounters. And it *feels* post nuclear. Places like the Glow were something else.
