ADHD, inattentive type. We're not the ones bouncing off the walls, but we *did* stop listening to you five minutes ago when we began thinking about how Roman and Etruscan wall construction differed.

It occurs to me that perhaps the reason there's not more political action around the ADHD medication crisis may purely transactional. Politicians are probably quite aware that although we'd be overwhelmingly grateful, we'd equally likely to forget to vote when they need us.

Am I taking anything away from Oops, All Berries! Captain Crunch by simply wishing for Fook, All Charms! Lucky Charms? After a prolonged period of introspection, I feel confident I am not.

Looking back at a decade of tech innovations 2013: Blockchain! It's a like a database, but slower and worse! 2016: VR! It's like monitors, but slower and worse! 2021: NFTs! It's like pictures, but slower and worse! 2023: AI! It's like algorithms, but slower and worse!

There was room for one last good tweet, I see.

Anyone else hearing about Netflix subs just...vanishing? I've had an account, in one form or another, since '99 and as of today, they seem to have no record of me ever being a customer. I mean, good nudge to reduce my services, but what an *avoidable* tech issue. Did {m}Elon buy them, too?

This just went live: The John Scalzi @humblebundle! Get a whole bunch of my books really cheap - and support the literacy charity First Book, which provides books and literary resources to kids in need. A perfect way to stock up on my eBooks. Please feel free to share around!

As someone who thrives on lore and worldbuilding, I have got to say that Apple TV's #legacyofmonsters is hitting all of my dopamine buttons. Sidebar: how the hell does 75 y/o Kurt Russell still seem like he could believably revisit Snake Plissken?!!

At least a half a dozen colleagues I know have raised re-location with me. They work on HIV/AIDS in the South where they are needed more than ever, as the epicenter of the American epidemic resides there. Just so sad. newrepublic.com/article/1768...

Finally able to start -and finish- Wanderers by @chuckwendig.bsky.social while in the hospital this weekend. Excellent, of course, but my personal highlight? It may have taken a literal apocalypse, but Concrete Blonde finally got their HoF due! Praise to the Rockgod! Now, to the Black Orchard...
