I did my first perfume making workshop - was with @vitsley.bsky.social who has some wild native and Asian botanicals I haven’t experienced before. I made something ‘interesting’ with Anise Myrtle, tropical fruits and woods, a really green rose and sparkling incense. The wait is terrible.

I received a lovely gift (no obligation to post) from @immortalperfumes.bsky.social of a variety of samples. I wore Antoinette today and felt like I was in a Sophia Coppola film

Catch up on the most recent episode with Jinx from @heroscent.bsky.social . May the High fantasy, D&D good time commence! #perfumesky www.paperbackperfumes.com/episodes/lil...

Do you like roleplaying games? I do. So let's talk about how you can make scent part of that experience. Jinx from @heroscent.bsky.social and @strangefirefumery.bsky.social offered up a joyous chat that's full of geekery. www.paperbackperfumes.com/episodes/lil... #dnd #books #fragrance #podcast

If you haven't had a chance to have a listen to my chat with Anh from Connection Parfumerie about the weird, wild and wonderful fragrance of poison inspired scents - then give it a whirl. It's all based around a fabulous read from Kat Khavari #perfumesky www.paperbackperfumes.com/episodes/poi...

Morning walk. A bit of cool quiet in the middle of a busy week.

A sweet little recap from this week's episode with William from Vallense. I remembered I can even add links here - so go have a listen! #perfumesky #podcast #booksky www.paperbackperfumes.com/episodes/les...

If you haven't listened to Episode 33 where @immortalperfumes.bsky.social and I talk about Blood Water Paint by @joymccullough.bsky.social - I do recommend. I enjoyed it thoroughly. #podcast #books #fragrance

Sometimes editing an episode of the podcast takes a few days. Sitting down to do a little editing, hit play and the first sentences is '... Amouage goes balls to the wall...' I have no recollection how I got to that statement. Yes, I am an exceedingly refined and highly educated human.

I would like to thank @immortalperfumes.bsky.social for completely messing with both mine and my colleagues work day as we desperately try to work out out who in Australia has antique DeVilbiss glass perfume bottles. Librarians research, right?

I did a thing. I would love for you to join me on the thing if you're interested! www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnDv...

I need to find my ‘spot’ for sotd shenanigans, but these have been some stand out wears over the last month and a bit

My reads over Dec/Jan. Still managed a few titles with moving house/no internet and the general crazy life stuff that happens in and around that.

Reasons why I struggle with microblogging- I constantly type too fast and never proof read before posting. All text ends up with the textual equivalent of children’s finger painting vibes

This weeks' guest on the pod is William from Vallense Fragrance. We chat about the 3 fragrances from their first line, as well as books from Robin Wall Kimmerer @erinmorgenstern.bsky.social and a fable from Aesop. It was a whirlwind of a conversation - so hold onto your hats! #books #perfume

I would never guess that The Story of a Murderer would make me laugh. The book is very entertaining: “Marketplaces stank, the churches stank, it stank beneath the bridges and in the palaces. The peasant stank as did the priest, the apprentice as did his master's wife, the whole of the aristocracy… ⬇️
