i've spent basically all day playing a particularly tricky start in civ 7 and i'm not even through antiquity and my back hurts from hunching over due to wartime anxiety but i have wiped xerxes off of the face of the earth

recalling the time i went to my first party at a college i’d just transferred to, a 70s party where i went as an early 70s intelligentsia type because where i come from we take costume parties seriously, and a) everyone was in tie-dye and b) i was informed for weeks that i was seen as intimidating

several critical responses to this, while well-meaning, seem to assume that house republicans will stand in lockstep on funding for red state disaster aid that does not benefit them personally, to which i say: lol. lmao

i have dire and perhaps shocking news and it is that the mufasa movie is better than the lion king remake? and maybe even actually good??

i fear it is time to stand under the shower with a hand against the tiles and the water streaming down my agonized face like a cop who just killed somebody but everyone agrees the killing was good and right but i still feel bad about it in a noble way in a movie

sometimes feel objectified on here, as though all i am is sophisticated jokes and pithily salient political quips. but i'm also very handsome

when burger king put out those long burgers on a sesame seed bun hoagie roll. that was when god turned away from us

accelerationism is always dipshit bullshit but it's a special kind of dipshit bullshit to say "it's actually good that i do not use the outsize power i personally have to protect my community from bigotry"

another silly fact about me in college is that's a legal drink, i was 21 here. i tested out of high school when i was 15 and just dicked around in college courses for six years, i think i had 2? associate's degrees when i transferred? and then i finished out bachelorses in lit and political science

fun way to find out that once again i am bound by good sense from saying what i think about trump press secretaries
