Many good and even excellent functionaries of the federal government prefer to quit rather than break the law! They show by example what probity and professionalism mean when faced with a dishonest alternative! This is becoming a serious problem for all citizens as key agencies stop doing their job!

Democracy flourishes when people are allowed or even encouraged to disagree with their government's decisions! By definition, a democratic government is slow and inefficient! When a President seeks to control the other two branches of government, that Democracy is in grave peril!

On the international stage, Trump has brought if not respect, fear, trade fear that is! He has also told the European countries to pay their fair share of NATO's expenses! Gone are the days when the US was seen as the rich uncle who always paid for the meal! So not all is bad, right?

The word fan is short for "fanatic" and by definition the word applies to people who admire, follow, and trust a political leader! It would take a lot to change their allegiance since they feel supported by thousands of like-minded individuals! Logical arguments have no effect on their belief!

Trump seems to listen more to common sense! He decided to stop the tariff war and apply reciprocal measures! Yes, he continues to support Elon's holy crusade which has the impossible task to make the Gov't efficient! This will for sure give the Democrats control of the House! And maybe the Senate!

In countries with dictatorships one cannot criticize the government's actions even when the facts are undisputed! Iran, Russia, Afghanistan, Belarus, China, Egypt, India in some cases, and a few African countries suffer from censorship and possible unwarranted jail time! Are we at risk in the US?
