I hope King Charles rescinds his invitation for a second state visit to Trump. However, if the visit takes place, I hope the King defends Canada. Trump is enamored with the House of Windsor and might listen to an actual monarch. Sometimes, people, even Kings, require a polite reminder.

W/C William George Barker was a Canadian WWI fighter ace and Victoria Cross recipient. With more than 900 hours of aerial combat and credited with shooting down more 50 enemy aircraft, he is Canada's most decorated serviceman. His state funeral was attended by an honour guard of 2,000 soldiers.

General Arthur Currie rose through the ranks, starting as a gunner in the militia, to become the first Canadian commander of the Canadian Corps. Currie is considered to be among the most capable commanders of the Western Front, and one of the finest commanders in Canadian military history.

W/O Francis Pegahmagabow was a Canadian Ojibwe soldier, politician and activist. He was the most highly decorated Indigenous soldier in Canadian history and was the most effective sniper of WWI. Three times awarded the Military Medal, he was credited with killing 378 Germans and capturing 300 more.
