if i’d put any weakness on Leão’s game it’d be the timing of his releases. it’s really hard to have pausa when carrying with so much pace anyways, but he often drives with his head down.

following up on my talk on slow wingers, david moyes speaking on technical and physical cloning feels vindicating, specially for attacking positions. this is very flagrant across the Red Bull model, and in a way, this (sadly) kinda falls into what we like to call good scouting too.

Yet to catch up on last round but going on from discussion with @passevertical.bsky.social on needs-must attacking, looked at possession in the HNL this term based on game state. Dinamo the only team in the comp with 50+% of the ball while in winning positions, and even they relatively sit off. 📊
