Name a grocery store food item, at least regionally available, not owned by private equity, Unilever, P&G, Pepsi, etc. Sad that my favorite brands were snapped up by private equity and "big food" in the last year. Duke's mayo. Siete. Sir Kensington's. Firehook Bakery. Why can't we have nice things?

Has anyone else noticed that @wholefoods.bsky.social product quality, in particular produce and seafood, has diminished significantly in the last couple of years? The produce is awful. And they seem to only carry 365 brand frozen and canned veg with few exceptions.

The guy spend a chunk of his childhood in an internment camp because our government thought he might be dangerous because he was of Japanese descent. He was also gay when you were forced to hide it. It’s been much worse for a lot of people in our history. George knows what he’s talking about.
