Delaying elections during a war doesnāt make a country a dictatorship. Silencing dissent, dismantling opposition, disregarding the rule of law, and declaring a leader 'king'āwell, now thatās another story entirely.

An article from 2016: āThe Philippines' forgotten 'comfort women'ā
āOf the 1,000 Filipino women who were forced into sexual slavery only about 70 are still thought to be alive - and because of their age there is a sense of urgency.ā

I just wish the creators of Valeria had the courage to do what the SATC writers couldnāt - end the series with Valeria being single & content, happy in her own company & that of her friends. Her situation with Victor could have been left ambiguous, but with her in control - similar to how S2 ended.

But Valeria wants me to believe that not only does Victor magically get over his commitment-phobia through realising that Valeria is his āØone true loveāØ , he was also decisive enough to lock it down with her & have 2 kids in 5 years? Total BS fairy tale ending.

For all its flaws - and trust me there are MANY - one thing SATC got right with the first movie was showing that Big didnāt just magically get over his fear of commitment.

Iām also really tired of media that depicts toxic, anxious-avoidant men as the heroineās āone true loveā. Being addicted to that hot-and-cold dynamic isnāt love!!!

Meanwhile someone here with no ties to Italy beyond having an Italian grandparent can still refer to themselves as āScottish-Italianā with no issue. Make it make sense
