Pango lineages have finally been semi-updated on the CDC page. XFG, XFC, and NB.1.8.1 have finally been added. Of note there is a distinct lack of LP.8.1.1 and its sublineages. But I guess it’s something after nothing substantial after so long.

Covid wastewater and variant tracking data has been degraded or completely removed on the CDC’s Covid data pages. It’s getting to the point where so many sites aren’t reporting data, that it’s becoming hard to trust the accuracy of said data 😔. Pango lineages also haven’t been updated in months.

In a pro-health society, Covid vaccine availability: 3-4x a year for immune competent and every 2 months for immunocompromised. We would mandate historic vaccine immunity from Wuhan > BA4/BA5 > XBB.1.5 > JN.1/KP.2 > LP.8.1 for all people. We’d update vaccines 2x a year to emerging variants.

Now I don’t know what to do. It looks like there will be no ACIP committee members for the ACIP meeting that is supposed to happen later this month. This will make it so that no vaccine recommendations will be made/voted on. This is not just Covid vaccine recommendations, this is all of them.
