I'm so envious of Canada. Imagine getting to pick your next leader and one of the choices isn't a batshit crazy, stupid sociopath . . .

Funny, how "I will fix things on day one" quickly became "Please, please give me NINE MONTHS to show any signs of progress!!!"

It has been a rough couple of weeks for music, regardless of genre. Rest in power and Godspeed, D'Wayne Wiggins.

Frankie Beverly 🕊️ Quincy Jones 🕊️ Roberta Flack 🕊️ Angie Stone 🕊️ Roy Ayers 🕊️ D’wayne Wiggins 🕊️ Music has lost some big ones within a year’s time and 2025 has been relentless.

Damn(ed), damn(ed), damn(ed). RIP and Godspeed, Brian James. www.guitarworld.com/artists/guit...

Well played.

Let this sink in.

The audacity of Elon Musk saying someone should pull out of anything.

Matt Viser is the White House bureau chief for the Washington Post. Just a little something to keep in mind as people assure you the only problem with Jeff Bezos's Washington Post is the opinion section.

My friend Addy Sulley's fight with cancer ended this week. www.postandcourier.com/greenville/f... I hadn't seen him since I moved from Greenville, S.C., in 2001, but we kept in touch on social media. Hoist a Heineken in his memory. Which will always be a blessing to me.

"Rick Buckler, former drummer in The Jam, has died at the age of 69, his ex-bandmates have confirmed on social media." (BBC News) I hope there is no malice for him in the afterlife. RIP and Godspeed. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfpR...

Making @mapquest.com great again.

Portuguese editorial cartoonist Zez Vaz reaches back to Tiananmen Square to call on American defiance.

Well, dig them up, then. www.mediaite.com/politics/hou...

Every #SuperBowl pregame song complaint and halftime show complaint, rolled up into one:

Tony Roberts died Friday. His "Step to the Rear" song, from the 1968 Broadway musical "How Now Dow Jones," might sound familiar to my fellow @sc.edu #Gamecocks. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HIc...

Elon Musk inherited a lot of money from his rich daddy, and he is currently driving his businesses into the ground with his ineptitude. Donald Trump inherited a lot of money from his rich daddy and drove his businesses into the ground with is ineptitude. America, stop thinking rich men are smart.

Do one thing every day that scares you. Me: **reads the news**

I have news for you - we aren’t taking over Gaza. But the media and the chattering class will focus on it for a few days and Trump will have succeeded in distracting everyone from the real story - the billionaires seizing government to steal from regular people.

This is a great idea. Do you know anyone in Congress you can talk to?

The DEI caused the plane crash narrative is a distraction. The tariffs are a distraction. Whatever insane nonsense Trump spews that the media will chase like cats chasing a laser light is a distraction. The only story that counts right now is the wholesale hijacking of control of the US government.

Any countries whose scientific research funding bodies are NOT currently under siege by their own national leadership would do very well announcing investments in bringing in foreign research talent right now

If we’re going to have a South African as president why can’t it be Trevor Noah

Valleys are flooding just so Donald Trump could brag that he "turned on the water in California." Planes are crashing just so Donald Trump could brag that he "trimmed the staff at the FAA." He is such a simple-minded person who never thinks of consequences. Maybe because *he* has never faced any.

Happy Black History Month, and yeah, we're still doing that.

I feel like we're living in an alternate #Highlander ending where the Kurgan defeated Connor MacLeod, received "The Prize," and went on to influence humanity. But not in a good way.

WHO DID THIS!

The White House didn't say "stop teaching about the Tuskegee Airmen when you do US history." The White House said "stop doing DEI and wokeness," and the military interpreted it as "stop saying the Tuskegee Airmen were heroes, and maybe stop teaching about them altogether." Yeah, that's bad.

Brilliant.

The past several days have proven without a shadow of a doubt that Project 2025 is real and underway. And those who warned America about it were right.

This is fine. We’re fine. Everything is fine.
