A victory for the Cuban people and the Cuba solidarity movement! The Biden admin has taken the long overdue step of removing #Cuba from the State Sponsors of Terror list.

NYC, you did it. Not only have we handily qualified for public matching funds but our $642,339 haul from 6,502 donors are the most of any campaign. That means we'll have $3+ million to share our vision for a more affordable city. I am profoundly grateful.

Hasta la victoria siempre 🇨🇺 www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-roo...

BIDEN ADMIN HAS REMOVED CUBA FROM THE STATE SPONSORS OF TERROR LIST LETS FUCKING GO!! www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-roo...

Look I don't trust Trump at all, especially on Palestine. He's evil. But Joe Biden spent a year and a half helping the fascist regime of Benjamin Netanyahu do genocide against a population of mostly children. And if he hadn't, Donald Trump wouldn't be able to get credit for a ceasefire deal.

The hip line is Netanyahu is spiting Biden by agreeing to a ceasefire as Trump comes into office. What’s important to understand is that this theory makes no sense. All reporting from Israel indicates Trump forced the issue (likely to spite Biden), what Netanyahu wants is, again, wholly irrelevant

GOOD MORNING FROM DAY 4 OF OUR ULP STRIKE! Let's hear it for our baristas in Boston, Dallas, and Portland who are joining the strike today 🔥

We won! Democratic socialist Mike Siegel will be our next city council member for D7. Austin DSA knocked tens of thousands of doors to help secure this victory over the GOP-supported opponent. We look forward to working with Mike on council to implement working class politics!

New in The Agitator: @hangryeyes.bsky.social dives into the ongoing debate about DSA’s electoral strategy and the widening gulf between what the National Political Committee claims they want versus the reality on the ground. www.socialistmajority.com/theagitator/...

The 2023 DSA convention was meant to be a turning point in DSA's electoral strategy. But most of the way through their term, every NPC member still supports endorsing candidates on the Democratic line, and no real steps toward a 3rd-party strategy are being taken. I wrote about this disconnect:

Was grateful to speak yesterday at The People's Forum honoring the life and legacy of Fidel Castro, a man in whose shadow I grew up in, in more ways than one.

"why vote to save democracy when it's not letting you afford a house or groceries" is a good question and it's worth asking the same thing about any ideology you want people to support

Hey it's the Iraq war lady!

In 2018 Dems elected the largest class to Congress since Watergate, ~60 seats. A lot of it was, yes, Trump backlash. But the winners also had another thing in common, despite a wide range of differences: most rejected corporate PAC money. It’s a hugely compelling factor to voters & underdiscussed
