There's a cold wind blowing, and it has nothing to do with the season. Excellent writing that lays it on the line. Thank you for sharing.

I spoke to former Treasury and OMB officials, and they said Elon Musk accessing government payment systems could give him the power to selectively turn off payments. They described what this really means in very clarifying terms. See below:

Sadly, it's not an unexpected outcome. However, the resolution you've put forth and the Senate Republicans block is now part of our national history. The shame is on them, and the optics of the pardon approvals. Thanks for trying.

True. Now 3 R's have written a bill to end vote by mail in WA. They don't cite any fraud in their justification.

Your post and all of the replies expressing fear for your loved ones is heartbreaking. All of this is a big bowl of wrong, and we have to stick together to fight the hate. Stay strong and determined.

Terrific interview and educational. I.G.'s must not be pigeonholed as "red tape bureaucrats," as it were. Their work is important. I wish all of them the best of luck.

No, it's no coincidence. Voters and citizens would like to be rid of corruption, incompetence, and foul personal behavior in D.C. and among lawmakers across the states. None of us need to meet trouble halfway or with a Senate confirmation vote that contradicts floor speeches. Thank you.

It's so frustrating and unnecessary. There has not been the will to pass reasonable immigration reform. There has been a commitment to exploit the issue politically, and people are getting hurt. Sometimes I worked with CBP in Ajo. It wasn't always pleasant.

Michael Fanone has been abused in every way possible, and his strength, courage, and integrity are to be commended rather than condemned. I am sorry for the continued threats he continues to receive, as well as threats to his family. It's simply wrong and must stop.

Yes, and only because CBP pulled a passenger off a Greyhound bus. 100 air miles. Sadly, it is a common practice from the article.

I'm am sorry. Mr. Guttenberg. How painful that you had to post this news.

Thank you for your words. We've had enough of snarky, puffed-up corridor interviews, too. If working for the benefit of the people isn't achievable with minimum cooperation, get out of the way to make room for someone who will. Voters figure it out faster than we're given credit.
