curious who these Reform DOGE auditors actually are? Where are they finding them?

This is excellent. Every word resonates (as I look bleakly at the street where my motorbike used to be)

An excellent, wise thread from Nick. Who is very wise.

{a song that only event photographers will really get} When the screen goes to shit, coz they're too close to it... That's a moiré

It's looking a little spicy out there

I'm revising an old poem of mine. It could be about several things but I'm not sure what the 'me' who wrote it some years back meant. So I tried to contact him. A rather crackly connection, but I inferred that he didn't know either. He said the man in the poem did know but wouldn't say. Interesting.

Obsessed with these stairs. Tallest residential building in Europe when it was built, too.

The shameless opportunism of a scandal-hit political climber could have profound consequences for our democracy.

Sphynx is not a word

A quick squizz at the SXSW programme. Who is the target audience?

This stuff is very good indeed. Old Peculier was my (and my late father's) favourite pint. This doesn't taste like it at first blush but gets better the further down you get and complements a roast almost the same. Miraculous. /cc @paulclarke.com @radiobeartime.com

Also: what happens when you skimp on your PR photographer...

After a spate of recent enforcements against photographers (I think you will find they are "content creators" m'lud - what? what?) I'd love to see TfL hammer Jenrick for filming on their premises without a permit

There is surely a long article to be written about the decline of the American mind, and this place is where to do the research.

I'm guessing Mitchinson's invitation mantelpiece will be getting a little dusty. Shameful behaviour.

The new guy at Unbound sounds like exactly the kind of guy the industry needs.
