No, Empathy Is NOT a Sin! open.substack.com/pub/paulderr...

No amount of alchemy will make Putin’s lies suddenly become true … not even his orange ventriloquist’s dummy, Trump, repeating them over and over like an obedient lapdog who desperately wants to be promoted to BFF.

Does Trump really want us to take over Canada and Greenland? This sounds more like he’s auditioning for the U.S. to be acquired by Russia. www.cnn.com/2025/02/18/p...

While Trump pats himself on the back and brays about restoring "excellence and safety" in aviation, are we supposed to just ignore the fact that, as of today, there have already been seven (7) plane crashes in just the few weeks since he took office?

Go ahead, Trumpians, tell us again how he isn’t a fascist.

No authoritarianism here, folks. Nothing to see. Just move along. gizmodo.com/the-list-of-...

This is important to him? Really? This? www.yahoo.com/news/trump-b...

Napoleon was right. When it comes to politics, stupidity is not a handicap.

May the smoke from this bridge-burning be seen far and wide by those who haven’t yet come to grips with the fact that POTUS and his minions aren’t interested in ethics and the rule of law.

Musk's open and notorious shenanigans belie any suggestion that he has respect for the rule of law. His actions are dictated by his calculation of how much he personally benefits. Suggesting that he is nobly protecting democracy by carrying out "the will of the people" is the height of hubris.

People need to get loud about this. Very loud.

💯 Such a basic concept, yet so confounding to those who don't care to be rational and intelligent in the first place.

While Musk slashes government programs that help people in dire need, his own companies were awarded at least $18 billion in federal contracts. And on Monday of this week, despite Trump’s spending freeze, SpaceX was given a new $38.85 million contract. abcnews.go.com/US/musk-work...

And in other news… www.cnn.com/2025/02/12/b...

It’s infuriating that the unelected president and his orange sidekick become more gleefully divisive and inhumane with each passing day. Congress, DO YOUR JOB.

One reason Trump continues to ignore the law and thumb his nose at the judicial system almost daily just might be because he’s never actually had to experience punishment for his crimes, including those 34 felonies of which he was convicted just last year.

When Jesus said we are to pursue spiritual riches instead of material wealth (Matthew 6:24), He wasn’t kidding. Some folks need to dust off their Bibles and reexamine their priorities.

The continuing parade of Senate confirmations of questionable (at best) nominees should be enough to tip off most folks that the GOP's raison d’être these days is to kiss Dear Leader's butt in hopes that he doesn't turn his childish petulance on them, too.

Despite this and many other similar headlines to come, I doubt that anyone in the Administration will cry, “Out, damned spot! Out, I say!” www.telegraph.co.uk/global-healt...

Apparently, DOGE’s bully tactics are merely the latest example of Musk using a scorched earth approach to silence his critics. www.wral.com/story/her-pa...

"When you seek me with all your heart, you will find me" (Jer. 29:13). "Draw nearer to God and He will draw nearer to you" (James 4:8). This is more than a possibility. If you put effort into seeking God, you'll see remarkable changes in your heart and in your life...guaranteed. Try it; you'll see.

Society reflects our choices; we're responsible for it, good or bad. And to the extent it isn't good, we're responsible for improving it by doing what God expects of us. We must embrace the whole Gospel, including the parts about fighting hunger and poverty and caring for "the least of these."

Very disheartening to see posts like this one and the level of agreement with it. Cultural Christianity isn’t Christian faith. We’re to live Christ-like lives and let the fruit of the Spirit be evident in everything we say and do. Pray for discernment, among other things….and pray often.
