I have to say - I noticed the minute Ben White came on - how quickly he advanced on the overlap, and what panic and chaos he caused. He was playing at a different speed and intensity from the off. Purposeful.

I just have to remind myself that I felt this bad all the way to the 80’ last week. Resigned myself to us being toothless. Suddenly two teeth sprang up with Merino. Turns out they were buck teeth though, and the brace needed a brace. Now I have that gnawing feeling they need to be pulled.

Timber is an unnecessary speed bump in our attempt to move the ball around. Every time. Hangs on to it, taking away Nwaneri’s tiny advantage. Then feeds it back towards goal when there is unnecessary pressure on the defender receiving it. It’s the strangest thing. Awful habit.

Kinda sucks that the #UCL draw means there can’t be an all-English or all-German final. Of course, Barcelona v Madrid still on the cards… What are the odds of all 3 English clubs being drawn on left bracket? Liverpool definitely with the easiest looking bracket. Some tasty matchups though..
