Perfect walking weather for "Papi Chulo & Babaloo" in Sonoma on Tuesday. After some early fog dissipates, we'll see plenty of sunshine — highs will end up about 5° above-normal, with even warmer weather on the way Wednesday!

A few light rain showers are scooting across the Bay Area this evening. They won't amount to much more than a trace, but it's enough to slow down the evening commute...

like why would they zoom in like that 😭 #ncaawbb #wcbb

🚨ADOPTABLE *BUNNY* ALERT🚨 We'll give the dogs a day off — let's find a home for the bonded pair, "Pepsi & Coke." They're adoptable from Oakland Animal Services...if you have room for these soda-themed sisters, details here: www.oaklandanimalservices.org/adopt/animal...

Rain-free weather, plus spring-like temperatures...that equals a sky-high pollen count into next week.

🚨ADOPTABLE DOG ALERT🚨 "Widget" looks very attentive for this spring-like forecast...maybe she's just surprised by the warmth after such a wet start to February. She's looking for her fur-ever home, details here: www.alamedacountysheriff.org/community/ad...

Beautiful sunset this evening! In just a few weeks, the sun will set after 7pm... #hallelujah

Temperatures will be well above-average through the rest of February. High temperatures in San Jose will be closer to April/May averages this weekend and next week!

JWST catches star vaporizing the hottest rocky exoplanets Some exoplanets have surface ices, some have atmospheres, and some are barren. But the hottest ones lose more than their atmospheres; even entire planets themselves can vaporize away! bigthink.com/starts-with-... #space #science #physics

"Bodie" looks adorable in his rain gear, but he can put that stuff away for a little while — absolutely no rain in the 7-day forecast, maybe all the way into early March! Mild temperatures will prevail the rest of the week, with even more of a warmup over the weekend.

As expected, today's rain was...unimpressive. It's the only rain we'll see for a while, though! A big warm-up will kick in for the last weekend in February as well... #CAwx

🚨ADOPTABLE DOG ALERT🚨 "Rocco" will have to dodge some raindrops Wednesday morning...or he could just wait for dry weather to take over again in the afternoon. Either way, this handsome boy would really like to be walked by a fur-ever family: www.lilyslegacy.org/available.html

me in 2077: what people forget is that there were a half dozen plane crashes each month before the Great AI Plane Skyfall of 2025 grandson: wow so everybody thought AI was going to fix all of that? me: haha what? oh. no. not even kind of. No

Tomorrow's little rain chance is unimpressive, to say the least

A chilly start on Tuesday, but temperatures will warm up nicely for "Jane" in Petaluma — highs will actually end up a degree or two above-average! True "sun's out, tongues out" weather is on the way this weekend, as a late February warm spell settles into the Bay Area.

Just one chance of rain in the 7-day forecast — light showers will move in Wednesday morning, but they won't amount to much. Otherwise, the forecast is looking pretty dry all the way through the end of February! #CAwx

Do you see that squall line coming your way, Southeast US? See that tornado watch box? Do you like having hi-res radar images and timely warnings for storms like these? Meteorologists - real live people - help keep you safe and informed. Keep NOAA/NWS funded and staffed. Tell your congresspeople.

Nashville friends — the atmosphere may choose violence tonight. This is the radar simulation for midnight central time. Stay weather-aware and be ready for a bumpy night!

To be fair how could they possibly have known the purpose of the thing called "the National Nuclear Security Administration"

"Comet & Trick" are here to wish everyone a happy Valentine's Day...or a felicitous Singles Awareness Day, if you prefer. Regardless of human companionship, it looks like a good day for a walk with your canine friends on Saturday — a mix of clouds and sun, with near-normal temperatures.

In the midst of everything happening [gestures broadly] I’m taking momentary joy in the fact that Texas A&M baseball is on one of my monitors…

Wild weather on the move: the same parent storm system responsible for California’s wet and windy weather the past couple days will now bring a significant flooding threat to parts of the Ohio, Mississippi and Tennessee River valleys, and severe storms to the Deep South on Saturday.

There are many places government could or should be cut or made more efficient. Literally no one but Musk is evil enough to think you start by cutting cancer research.

Literal nightmare fuel

🚨ADOPTABLE DOG ALERT🚨 After some quality time indoors today, "Yoli" will get to stretch her legs a bit on Friday...especially in the afternoon, when the last showers have moved out and the winds have diminished. Adoption details for this happy girl here: www.alamedacountysheriff.org/community/ad...

The NWS is one of (often polled as the # 1) the most popular agencies in the entire government. Also, it costs a few bucks per taxpayer to fund a year. The benefit people get out of it vs cost is insanely good. And gutting it is...extremely dangerous

Still pockets of heavy rain in the Bay Area this evening, but the threat of additional flooding will be lower with more breaks in between the heaviest downpours. Wish I could say the same for southern California tonight...

On top of everything else, a little cluster of earthquakes along the Hayward fault today — strongest was M3.7. I'll take a bunch of mini-quakes over one larger one, thank you very much.

A wet and windy Thursday for "Jack" in Fremont — there will be breaks in between the bands of rain, but they'll be brief. Windy conditions will prevail throughout the day, so those ears may not be quite as vertical as usual!

Radar simulation from 9pm today through 9pm Thursday shows the heaviest and most-widespread rain moving across the Bay Area overnight. Off-and-on waves of additional rain (thunderstorms?) and locally heavy downpours will continue throughout Thursday. #CAwx
