Important: Commission plan ‘Rearm Europe’ will not require unanimity. Hungary and Slovakia cannot block it on their own ec.europa.eu/commission/p...

Tracking the performance of the S&P 500 through 100 days of an administration because I don't want to grade.

To all Americans! You better act fast now and take back your country. Things are moving so fast that in a year Russia's control over the U.S. might be entrenched. You have precious little time to save your democracy, and your freedom.

It should be clear by now that Trump is blackmailing Zelensky to remove him from office. He is pursuing his own policy of regime change. Whether it just coincides, is coordinated or even directed by, Russia, I don’t know. But if he gets his way, www.nytimes.com/2025/03/03/u...

Facts matter.

🔴 UNITED24 Media analysis shows Zelenskyy has thanked the U.S. 94 times on his official Telegram since Russia’s full-scale invasion began in February 2022.

These DOGE guys' phone numbers & addresses are easy to find, in case anyone wants to file a FOIA request for all their communications (including those on any personal devices used to conduct government business), or serve them with evidence preservation demand letters in anticipation of litigation

Why didn't General McAuliffe just put on a suit and sign whatever the Germans wanted him to sign?

Many European soldiers fell in US-led wars that we agreed to largely because of solidarity towards America, rather than agreement with US strategic analysis or direct European interest. Add the civilian lives we lost from terrorist revenge attacks. America "owes" Europe "Billions and Billions".

To go along with our piece today, we published an extensive list of folks associated with DOGE. It builds off and adds to the strong work that Wired, WaPo, ProPublica and other pubs have been doing. The public has a right to know who is dismantling the government. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

After watching the Trump-Zelenskyy meeting in whole, I’m feeling prepared to comment on it in a proper way. Long thread incoming:

Everyone who is a political appointee in defense that still works for the Trump admin is, as of today, morally bankrupt

3 years, 1,102 days. Thousands of homes destroyed. Countless lives lost. And only one attacker to be held accountable.

“Never again” demands action — Ukraine is fighting for all of us, writes Odesa Association of Jews Chairman Roman Shvartsman in his op-ed.

Kinzinger: There’s a reason that every Trump cabinet member has had to tweet how strong he was today. Because they got the memo from The White House that they better come out and support Trump because this is a really bad day for them and they know it

“If Roosevelt had told Churchill to sue for peace on any terms with Adolf Hitler and to fork over Britain’s coal reserves to the United States in exchange for no American security guarantees, it might have approximated what Trump did to Zelensky.” www.nytimes.com/2025/02/28/o...

If you want to stop World War Three, think what would have stopped World War Two. Occupation of the Ruhr. Anschluss with Austria. Annexation of Sudetenland. Hitler could have been stopped each time. But fear of war led to war. Don’t repeat the mistake. #SlavaUkraini

❗️When America has your back: The Economist on the background of recent events

Trump and Vance were expecting thankfullness.... but for WHAT? Trump stopped help to Ukraine through USAID. Trump didn't announce any military package of his own. Aid deliveries continued that were already paid for (but not by Trump). Zelensky thanked America often. Back then. Before Trump.

So much for "Master Negotiator" Trump and his dealmaking: Trump has failed to make any progress in ending the war, while at the same time alienating the chief allies of the US. On top of that, he's failed to secure a minerals deal with Ukraine to "get back some of the US's money." Double failure.

Zelenskyy: "When they, for example say that Ukraine is almost destroyed, that our soldiers run away, that they are not heroes, that the president is a dictator, what is the reaction? It's not about me. The reaction is, where is the friendship between Ukraine and the US?"

“Putin, along with other dictators around the world, can finally look at Trump with confidence & think: one of us.” @radiofreetom.bsky.social www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

🇺🇦✊

Trump and Vance act as if the problem is that Ukraine is resisting an ongoing Russian invasion. The problem is the ongoing Russian invasion. If they want to use American power to stop the war, apply it to the aggressor. Abusing the victim is not going to end a war of aggression.

Trump is too much of a coward to say a bad thing to Putin, yet he dares lecture Zelensky? Russia is on the verge of collapse and Trump/Vance are desperate to save them

Some have disappointed, some have bad policy, some made big mistakes. But I’ve never in my life been ashamed of American leaders. Until today.

On behalf of many Americans, don’t thank us we THANK YOU Ukraine for your work.

what a disrespectful and ungrateful kid, according to the President of the U.S.

“Any deal that allows Russia once again to avoid defeat would be a betrayal of the Ukrainians, a win for the Russians, and a blunder by the United States.” My latest. www.thebulwark.com/p/trump-ukra...

2019: Trump with the Mexican president and the Canadian prime minister sign the USMCA trade deal 2019. He brags on Twitter about how great this agreement is. 2025: Trump imposes tariffs on Canada and Mexico, citing years of abuse. Adds "How stupid do you have to be to make a deal like that?"

🚨 Trump & Musk’s budget plan: Slash education, food aid & healthcare—while handing the rich a $4.5T tax cut. Kids, the poor, even military families will pay the price. 🙃 adamkinzinger.substack.com/p/the-grinch...

"The reason Putin might finally be ready to negotiate seems to be remarkably simple: He wants to avoid a humiliating bankruptcy" Trump has rescued him www.politico.eu/article/vlad...

By the way, Putin slapped Trump in the face today. Crucially, the danger is that the U.S. may lie to Ukraine & Europeans about the feasibility of the "deal" from a security perspective. Putin will grab all the advantages and give nothing. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/f...

81% of U.S. voters say Putin can’t be trusted, with 73% of Republicans and 93% of Democrats agreeing, The Hill reports.

Never forget this video of 5-year-old Ivan crossing the border alone in the first days of the Russian invasion.

This vote by the US is just staggering. Not standing against a violation of international law and not condemning the massive numbers of war crimes of Russia will affect US security and damage our alliances and national reputation. I’m ashamed of this action.

My question to Americans: How does it feel to be on the same side as Russia and North Korea at the UN? Does it feel like you're heading in the right direction?
