I've said it's a risk, now I'm watching it play out in front of me. The worst thing you could do as a non-developer is think that AI is a superpower that can help you launch a product or service. It's too easy to AI-code something with gaping security vulnerabilities.

Sold one of these this week - an NFC keychain for your social media account. Been playing around with NFC for a little while, doesn't seem there's much of a market for NFC stuff generally though.

Bitbucket consistently remains the worst hosted Git provider I've ever used. I never had authentication problems like I get with BB - repos just suddenly "forget" how to authenticate. Mental.

Taken delivery of 3D printer number 4 today. The print farm is growing!

Watching the VE day flypast reminded me of 5 years ago when 7 Dakotas departed Duxford in formation and flew under then around me while I was in the air. I would have loved to have been in the air watching the flypast train go by this afternoon.

I'm in various groups for Etsy sellers, and the most common theme I see is "I'm not getting any sales, I feel like I'm doing something wrong." They never consider that there's no market. The lack of research and validation I see is actually worse than the software market.

Made my first proper flight in the new aircraft, sat down to lunch with my laptop right in front of this (mine is the second on the list.) Love the little extra touches some airfields make. #avgeek #aviation

Slow 3D print sales in April due to Easter, but it still came out the second highest in revenue since it all started.

3D print stores have cleared £7,500 in revenue in the first 9 months. Can I make it £10k by the end of year 1?!

Started reading through the CRI course syllabus last night (Class Rating Instructor - a restricted flight instructor qualification.) Going to be a bit more involved than I first thought. And I'm going to need to get my speaking confidence levels up.

After a whole year (almost to the day) since the Piper PA28 Arrow I co-owned was ground, I'm so happy to be able to say I own a share of a gorgeous example of an Arrow! Can't wait to make more flying memories in a great aircraft! #avgeek #aviation

The mountains of mid-Wales after leaving Shobdon recently. Always a beautiful sight. #photography #aviation #avgeek

Does anybody in the UK know much about being a ferry pilot as a private pilot (i.e. no commercial licence)? I know it's legal to do on a private for no remuneration. I'd be interested in helping people ferry aircraft around (the UK for the time being) for maintenance or delivery flights. #avgeek

Another 2 solar panels added to my arrays, almost doubled the output!

Went to an astronomy course last night and had a chance to look at Jupiter through an observatory telescope. I've seen Jupiter through a telescope when I was a kid - a white dot. This time I actually saw planetary features. Seeing it with my own eyes absolutely blew my mind.

I installed Laravel 12 over the weekend with the new Vue starter kit. I'll be honest - I can't really understand people's beef with the new kits that you don't have to use. One thing's for sure... saves me a tonne of boilerplating!

3D printer number 3 will be delivered tomorrow, after a massive uptick in orders over the last few days!

New fibre line just activated, load balancing and single connection failure testing done. Added a second provider after the second extended Trooli outage in 2 weeks. Shouldn't have to, but equally it's probably not a bad thing for me to have redundancy!

My EcoFlow/solar battery system along with cheap overnight electricity saved me £44 off my energy bill in January. I expect those savings to increase as the days get longer, weather improves and sun stays higher for longer.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that anyone pushing AI agents for customer service have never tried to use an AI agent as an end user. In almost every case where I encounter one, I get so frustrated I pick up the phone.

3D printing profits in January have just about paid off printer number 2 purchased in December. Another month like January would mean the venture is completely break even.

Feel like I have enough knowledge with CAD and 3D printing to get started on electronics projects. Found a project box file and put a couple of holes in the lid for a ultrasound sensor. If I've got the size and spacing right, should be a perfect fit!

I recently discovered you can cut/copy/paste cards in Trello between lists and boards using the same keyboard shortcuts you're used to. Makes moving cards between boards SO much more efficient!

I'm currently having to use SSH tunnelling to access IP-restricted servers as my home connection is down. Easy enough! But I wonder if I could build a Mac app in NativePHP to give me a UI to manage/activate SSH tunnels 🤔 Interesting little project idea!

Looks like yet another opportunity to cancel a planned currency flight beckons - a cold front right over Cambridgeshire right when I have a plane booked, and Pessimistic Annie (Stansted) forecasting low cloud bases. This is getting really boring now.
