Chasing the shiny bits in the dark. Punishing my legs for not being rocket packs. Passionate about density, transit, walkability, and cycling infrastructure. Recovered “avid cyclist”. Capitol Hill but I’m not cool and only have one tattoo.

Everyone of you taking small steps to show alternatives to cars are awesome. It’s hard I know, the world wasn’t made for us. Maybe you go by foot, bike, scooter, skateboard, train, bus, or by boat. Every trip you take is making a difference.

Elon is a truly historic human being. For the first time ever, we have the means to do so, and a person deserving of, being yeeted into the sun so that we, the people of the green and blue earth, may live in peace and never hear his name again.

"white genocide" is literally just white guys self reporting no one wants to date them.

80% of the reason I used Dexter and not Westlake when this was my commute was to avoid exactly this disaster of infrastructure, enforcement, driver entitlement, and carelessness.

The same way a lot of people didn't realize how big the QAnon problem was until those fuckers literally stormed the capital, I fear we're a year or two away from a shocking discovery of just how many "seemingly normal" people have lost their minds "talking" with ChatGPT.

some of y’all can’t handle 2 high agency males going at it and it really shows

Can someone point me to a resource with valid claims to these critiques of Abundance? I don’t have a particularly big stake in Abundance, but the basic idea that “maybe we should make it easier to build dense housing, mass transit, and infrastructure” seems like a solid one to me.

Weird they're showing Swan Lake on Fox right now

As many of us people who study or work in tech tried to tell y’all, move fast & break things was always about POWER, not progress.

A lot of the replies and reskeets on this talk about how people used to navigate by experience, maps, talking to other people, and vibes. It’s worth pointing out that for cyclists, this is still true. Modern gps navigation has largely solved directions for drivers.

I generally have a very strong sense of the cardinal directions, and am similarly baffled when people have no idea which direction is north. And! There is one neighborhood of Seattle that confuses me every time: Beacon Hill. No visible landmarks, and I always think north is south.
