Trump’s numbers on US & European aid to Ukraine are completely fabricated — Europe has given more to Ukraine and the US hasn’t reached anywhere near $350 billion.

This is disgusting and outrageous.

The deletion or disappearance of this data is outrageous.

Interesting: the State Department’s procurement forecast detailing a $400 million order for "armored Tesla" has now been edited to "armored electric vehicles." The document shows the edit was made tonight at 9:12 p.m. -- after it was highlighted in reports

From Trump I, I remember all the hyped-up meetings with dramatic heat maps and dashboards -- built by overpaid contractors who could not understand and interpret the data they developed -- regarding where all the potentially under-utilized federal vehicles were. DOGE duplicity and waste abound.

My dog always begs to go on runs with me so today we did 400 meter repeats together and now he is lying on the floor asleep with his leash still on

“Why don’t they play popular music at the Super Bowl anymore.” — Man who thinks 1996 was 10 years ago.

What libraries and archives are committed to: preservation and access. What democracy requires: preservation and access for accountability and transparency.

@janecoaston.bsky.social ... heavy episode (as most are these days, sadly), but thank you so much for the Tommy Tuberville takedown (with receipts) on "What a Day" this morning. I am pumping my fists and have tears streaming down my face. YOU ARE A NATIONAL TREASURE!

I'd like to think Samantha Power penned this banger while wearing the old "backbone" t-shirt that Cass Sunstein brought home.

Michelle Goldberg's NYT oped is right. This is the hubris and gross incompetence of the CPA in Iraq. I pray my former boss -- an OG Elon Musk devotee - doesn't find himself and our agency in Musk's woodchipper. The role model for Agility, Innovation, and Relevance talks like this. Let that sink in.

This Hannah Arendt quote feels appropriate right now "Totalitarianism in power invariably replaces all first-rate talents, regardless of their sympathies, with those crackpots and fools whose lack of intelligence and creativity is still the best guarantee of their loyalty."

So far the war on so-called "DEI" - has come for - women at the CIA who want to get together and celebrate women spies - people at the Defense Intelligence Agency who want to observe...Holocaust Remembrance Day. - apparently, any federal celebration of...Black History Month.

This DIA memo is shameful.

really interested to see whose side republicans take in pardoned J6ers vs. cops

you know what this wholesale destruction of the federal bureaucracy reminds me of? “Debaathification!” it reminds me of the immediate aftermath of the Iraq war or rather the beginning of the occupation.

Meditations on the exurban data center and the Trumpian architectural agenda by Philip Kennicott. I can't wait for the acres of cement tilt-up buildings (with maybe an abandoned Top Golf) in Loudon County to be put on the National Register of Historic Places in thirty years (not). wapo.st/40y8xOU

ATTN: This is most important court hearing to watch next week. The GOP does not want this case in federal court because they know a federal judge is not likely to toss out 60,000 lawful votes. Their plan is to have the partisan NC state Supreme Court decide. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

I love this article because it’s just like “hey let’s call up that loser’s closest friends and see if they’ll gossip about how mad he is” and they sure did www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/...

U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, dismissing a January 6-related case following Trump's Monday order: "All of what I have described has been recorded for posterity, ensuring that what transpired on January 6, 2021 can be judged accurately in the future."

And after you read about the historically illiterate curtis yarvin (courtesy of Mr. Bouie who must have scored a 5 on his AP US History exam back in the 1980s) listen to the wild interview of marc andreessen by Ross Douthat on Matter of Opinion. It’s sensitive, self-absorbed clowns all the way down.

Trump has signed an executive order eliminating all funding for diversity and inclusion in the federal government, sending home DEI staff who will then be laid off. The historical echo for this is when Woodrow Wilson resegregated the federal government in 1913. We have reached the second nadir.

I sure hope U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly earned a nomination for the Society of American Archivist's J. Franklin Jameson Archival Advocacy Award today.

The crew's next stop on the train back to the early 20th century seems to be 1913 and the white supremacist President Woodrow Wilson. Wait until these jabronis find out their crap originated with the OG "woke" Democrats and progressives ... and that they need EVERYONE to plant Old Glory on Mars.
