When glaze runs more than you expect it?!?! My hubby eventually ground the ragged edges but I wasn’t satisfied. Darn! I have to keep this absolutely gorgeous Dimple Cup!!! 😝🤣

All of my pottery goes through very thorough cat scans by my Supurrvisors. Today, Keelie, gave 4 paws up to some Dimple cups, Shoreline mugs, and Pretty in Pink cups.

One evening, Keelie walked through my underglaze palette, so I put her paw prints on a bowl I was going to paint. My friend, Barb, told me it looked ‘pawsitively adorable’. And I loved it!!! That’s how I got my name. Pawsitive Pottery. How did you get your business name?

Just when I think I’m finally feeling better? BAM! More shit hits my fan! When my mind isn’t in a calm place? It’s important for me to realize it and do something about it. This afternoon, I went to my studio to just play. No expectations…just me, Grayson, my slab roller, my hands, and some clay.

This isn’t anything new! It’s just something I learned a long time ago and use this technique after every cup/mug/bowl that I trim. The clay planters never stick. 🤗 I have quite a collection of clay planters in various sizes!!!! And…they’re inexpensive 😝 What do you use to round your rims?

Chiaroscuro is such a fun word to say. Light and dark playing nicely together. I love throwing little vases on the wheel. Each one gives me the opportunity to play with different shapes…plus…they make great test tiles 🤗
