Working through a few courses on AI. So many use pull quotes from Musk. Going to be an added cost stripping out the content from your videos and e-learning guys. I assume the BBC have a technique you could borrow, when they upload TOTP episodes?

Well that's a treat to come home to @unbounders.bsky.social

When a person thinks 'do-gooder' is an insult – it's a tell. Avoid them.

Once upon a time, in the kingdom lived a man named Noel. Despite his immense wealth, he wished he were funny, but attempts at humour always fell flat and it vexed him all day and all night. One day, a mysterious merchant sold him a machine that could speak and provide answers to any question. (1/3)

It's happened... I've tipped over into the kind of rider who's bought a flip-up lid. Don't worry though this doesn't mean a Polite vest is on the way

Challenge suggestion @b3ta.com what Bond products can they come up with to keep these grifting creativity parasites from strip-mining everything? www.theguardian.com/film/2025/fe...

How beautiful is that letterhead!?

working through this course on Large Language Models thebullshitmachines.com/table-of-con... from the Calling Bullshit guys... so no surprise that it is funny and wise, but I didn't know that @carlbergstrom.com takes lovely photos too. If you're curious about LLMs check it out.

Army quartermaster jailed for stealing almost £500,000 of supplies from MoD www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025... 'order printers and toner from an army contractor... In total he took £487,919.80' Will HIGNFY or News Quiz be the first to claim it amounted to ten whole cartridges 😐

Apology not accepted. This is excellent, if you're a bit car nerdy and fond of UK car culture and history. I was born in Birmingham in the seventies, so I tend to be beige, can have trouble getting started in the mornings and have a body prone to rapid deterioration.

Just working through the Introduction to Web Accessibility course... hmmm mmm... oh what's this information on closed captions?

No idea about his punditry, but I can't help but feel this is just downright insulting to Yoko.

I feel like this might be a Bath/Bath type spot @sniffpetrol.com

Listening to Laurie Anderson on Desert Island Discs with @laurenlaverne.bsky.social chatting about attending the Westminster Dog Show made me realise the impossible... You could improve Best In Show. Pan across from Fred Willard to see Lou Reed and Laurie cheering the terriers.

Just finished Raw Concrete by @barnabascalder.bsky.social really, really good. Thought provoking and delightfully readable. Getting tired of telling my partner bits of it, she should read it, so should you. Add it to the shelf with @grindrod.bsky.social

Just getting to a module in my apprenticeship that deals with AI. Hmmm I wonder if it will be treated with the delicacy and nuance that such a complicated subject area commands? Oh.

An enlightening read that contains expertise and gems of understatement like: 'one gains the impression that Truss has really not thought through this letter.' Chapeau!

A pleasure to kick off the new year back at work listening to this... and Mike Althorpe's coinage 'Dirty Cathedral' needs to be used for many more brutal builds John... make it so!

Happy New Year! Whatever resolution you choose.

Fascinating article about car paint drying. No really, and the bigger story of car production. By @edconway.bsky.social edconway.substack.com/p/watching-p... Might interest you @sniffpetrol.com

Blake's Seven reboot looks odd i.guim.co.uk/img/media/57...

Xmas vinyl haul

it feels like a waste of time playing with a pre-rigged deck www.gov.uk/government/c... but I might as well stand on top of the hill shouting into the rain...

Lovely stuff Alasdair! The closest I got was re-creating a vintage Blaupunkt radio in Blender. Did not script funnies to go with it...

He's finding a beast he's slicing it wide to combat the cold, he's climbing inside Santa Claus is coming Tauntaun

Great article, great writing... Reminded me of @katewagner.bsky.social writing about Nascar, a great new angle on motorsport.

Kids drawings always have that inscrutable zap that delights, and once you're a 'trained' illustrator they become almost impossible to create. Faked kids drawings in ads or presentations rile me... a weird hill to die on but there we are.

Pick a movie, keep one actor, rest are Muppets: I mean, every Bond works, for all sorts of reasons, but I bet Roger would have actually enjoyed making them!

A poetic description of a piece of celluloid poetry.

Couldn't help but worry that some of the contents were fatal and you just had to take your chances, hope your cat was one of the statistically favoured. Avoided.
