Trump: “We don’t have to sign deals.” (NYT). As the WSJ reports today other nations are strengthening their trade ties. By exception Trump may be right: for notoriously unreliable US there may be nothing to sign as world trade will just go on and new trade patterns will emerge and cement themselves.

Of course, Europe has it’s brainless politicians too. So, while Portugal and Canada are wisely reconsidering buying F35’s, the Dutch secretary of defence sees no reason for doing so. He still trusts the US and thus risks extortion and a veto of the US on using these F35’s against Russia when needed.
