Great advice from @mark.bsky.social today: if you see something, save something. @archive.org has a free tool on their website that allows anyone to save a webpage they fear might disappear. There's even a browser extension that allows you to save every page you visit, if you are so inclined.

Day 18 of posting cool mushrooms every day: The Crown-Tipped Coral, or the Candelabra Coral (Artomyces pyxidatus) is an exceedingly rare mushroom in the UK. The last official record of it was in 1886, and, besides a few observations since, it has only been officially recorded again this October!

it's kinda sad that digital work is so hidden like there's no messy study room or bookshelves full of works you've read or letters from people and gizmos and widgets you've built or stacks of drawings and diagrams it's all just, hidden in folders, already lost in space, and eventually lost to time
