Very political people have a vested interest in convincing you that everything is in decline—because if you believe that, you'll rely on them to fix it. The problem is that these lies have been repeated so often that most people accept them as truth, when the opposite is true.

The dangerous thing here is all these guys think they’re too smart to be racist/antisemitic/bigoted/etc. They think their intellect allows them to cherry-pick the pieces of information they like while discarding the rest.
